MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Institute for Research and Democratic Development (IREDD) says its advocacy on Legislative Governance has garnered so many changes at the National Legislature.

Speaking to ELBC Thursday, August 30, 2018, the Program Officer of IREDD Legislative Governance Program, Joseph Chenyan, said through the program participation of lawmakers in Plenary has increased.

Chenyan also said their advocacy has also led to an intensive budget scrutiny over the years by the National Legislature.

According to him, basic things that were lacking at the Legislature prior to the launch of the program have now been established at the Capitol.

Chenyan named the establishment of the Legislative information service as another major achievement of IREDD’s advocacy.

The IREDD Legislative governance program is meant to enhance transparency and accountability at the National Legislature.
