MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Independent National Commission on Human Rights (INCHR), is cautioning parties to the ongoing impeachment sage of Associate Justice Kabineh Ja’neh to act in the confines of the laws of Liberia.

The bill seeking the impeachment of Justice Ja’neh originated from the House of Representatives.

INCHR in a release issued Tuesday, September 4,2018, in Monrovia, encourages all sides to the impeachment proceedings to exercise maximum restraints and due diligence in line with the rule of law.

The Commission said by doing so, they will safeguard Liberia’s budding democracy, peace and security.

It said any attempt for parties to proceed in the form and manner that depart from the bailiwick of the laws could undermine the constitutional role of the judiciary.

INCHR is also quoted in the release as saying, to ensure sustainability of Liberia’s democracy, peace and security that Liberians must follow due process and the rule of law.
