NEW YORK, USA-President George Weah says his administration is determined    to improve the livelihood of underprivileged Liberians through the Pro-Poor Agenda, despite numerous challenges.

President Weah said:” My Government endeavors to build a harmonious society where those who are marginalized will have the opportunity for economic empowerment.

He also appealed to friends of the international Community to support the CDC led Government’s Pro-Poor Development Agenda.

The Liberian Leader said Government’s plan is to provide opportunities for the Country’s youthful population, through the provision of Vocational and Technical Education Programs.

Touching on security issues, President Weah said following the UNMIL drawdown in Liberia, the Country is now in charge of its security.

He paid tribute to UN Peace keepers for the support to peace and security in Liberia, but was quick to acknowledge that the Country still experiences fragile peace.

The Liberian Chief Executive said government needs to initiate peace dialogues across the country in order to cement the peace.

President Weah gave the assurance Wednesday, September 26, 2018, when he addressed the 73RD Session of the UN in the United States of America.
