MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President George Manneh Weah has defended his reputation regarding the alleged missing16 billion Liberia Dollars in the Country.

President Weah said:” As a Senator he did not vote for the printing of the new money on grounds that the tenure of the Unity Party (UP) Government was about to end.”

He said he does not have any knowledge concerning the printing and usage of the money in question.

The Liberian Leader said:” Once the ongoing investigations into the matter are concluded, anyone indicted by the Committee investigating the matter will be made to either restitute the money or face the full weight of the Lord.”

He spoke Sunday, September 30, 2018,at the welcoming and Thanksgiving Service held at the Isaac Winker Global Ministries in Congo Town, Monrovia.

The service was in honor of the President’s safe return from the 73rd Session of the United Nations (UN) General Assembly in New York, the United States of America.

President Weah then frowned on those calling on the International Community to impose sanction on the Country, describing their actions as counterproductive to the survival of the Liberian people.

He said that it is sad for people claiming to be advocating for the people of Liberia to call on the International Community to place economic sanction on the Country.

Meanwhile, Archbishop Isaac Winker is challenging President George Manneh Weah to go to the bottom of the reported missing 16 billion Liberian Dollars.

Archbishop Winker further described the money saga as a war that must be tackled without partiality and calls on the President to take a definite decision even if such decision will affect his families, friends and confidants.

The Liberian Clergy man said the Liberian Chief Executive should first seek the face of God before taking decisions as was done by some leaders of old.

He prayed that the God will grant the Liberian Leader the wisdom to lead the nation and take the people of Liberian people to higher height.
