Gov. of Liberia signs Book of Condolences…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President George Manneh Weah has signed the book of condolence for the falling Commissioner of the Liberia Immigration Service, Cllr. Lemuel Reeves.

Col. Reeves died recently in Monrovia following a brief illness.

At the signing ceremony at the LIS Headquarters in Monrovia Thursday, October 18,2018, President Weah said:” The death of Col. Reeves is not just a lost to the LIS, but to the entire government and people of Liberia.”

He noted that the services of the falling Immigration Boss to the Country will forever be remembered by all Liberians.

President Weah was accompanied by several Government officials, including Foreign Minister Gbarzohngar Finley, and Defense Minister Denial Ziankhan amongst others.

Cllr. Lemuel Reeves will be credited for several reforms at the entity, including rebranding the name of the institution from the Bureau of Immigration and Naturalization (BIN) to the Liberia Immigration Service.

Meanwhile, funeral service for the late Cllr. Lemuel Reeves, Sr. takes place this Saturday, October 20, 2018, at the Sacred Heart Cathedral Parish.
