MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President George Manneh Weah has called on Liberian own businesses to take advantage of the Liberia Business Development Fund to push for the change they desire.

The LBDF is a government of Liberia initiative aimed at helping small enterprises to access finance and grow the businesses.

The Liberian leader said: “My government remains committed to improving the private sector with Liberians taking the lead.”

President Weah was speaking Wednesday, December 19, 2018, in Paynesville when he presented a check of 3 (m) million United States Dollars to the Commerce Ministry to launch the initiative.

He promised to continue to spend tax payers’ money on initiatives that will bring relief to the people of Liberia and improve their condition.

About one-thousand-six-hundred-fifty small Liberian own businesses will benefit from the credit facility which will be managed by the Liberia Bank for Development and Investment (LBDI).
