MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Foreign Minister Gbehzongar Finley is expected to appear before the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs to respond to allegation of commissioning Liberia’s Ambassador to the United States of America, George Pattern.

The decision to appear stems from a communication from Grand Bassa County Senator, Nyonblee Kahngar-Lawrence.

In her communication to plenary Tuesday, Senator Kahngar-Lawrence requested that the Foreign Minister appear before the body to provide clarity on how the Liberian Ambassador to the US was commissioned.

But in a motion proffered by Grand Kru County Senator, Peter Coleman, Foreign Minister Finley will now face the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs on the issue.

The committee is expected to make its report in a week.

Meanwhile, Sinoe County Senator elect, Augustine Chie, on Tuesday presented his credentials to Senate Pro-Temp, Albert Chie.

Senator Chie was recently elected following a by-election held due to the appointment of former Sinoe County Senator, Joseph Nagbe, as Associate Justice of the Supreme Court.
