Pres. Weah receives letters of credence…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President George Manneh Weah has emphasized the importance of Liberia and Israel taking their already existing bilateral relationship to another level.

President Weah noted that Liberia and Israel share one common interest which must be consolidated in the spit of peace and unity.

The Liberian Leader acknowledged the longstanding relationship between the two countries and pledged to work harder in bringing additional values to the relationship.

President Weah spoke Thursday, January 24, 2019, at the Foreign Ministry in Monrovia when he received the letter of credence of Israel Ambassador to Liberia, Shani Cooper.

Presenting her Letter of Credence, Ambassador Cooper assured President Weah that she will do everything within her power to promote and strengthen the relationship between both countries.

She noted that the potential of trade and economic relationship between Liberia and Israel is growing with the presence of Israeli companies in Liberia.

Ambassador Cooper said these companies are investing in separate areas including health, communication and agriculture.
She said both countries were established on the foundation of liberty and peace and told President Weah that her government will proudly accept him in Israel by February this year.

Other Ambassadors presenting their credentials were Czech Republic, Uganda, Norway, Burkina Faso and Spain.

About six more countries are expected to present their letters of credence to President George Weah on tomorrow, Friday, January 25, 2019.
