MONROVIA, LIBRIA -The Liberia Land Authority (LLA), through Civil Law Court ‘B’ of Montserrado County, has discovered a massive fraudulent land processing scams in Browerville Township, outside Monrovia.

The scams, involving sixty five acres of Public Land in the Township, was carried out by several suspects. The suspects are currently faced with a writ of arrest warrant, issued by the First Judicial Circuit, Criminal Assizes ‘C’ for Montserrado County.

According to investigators of the Land Dispute Resolution Section of the Authority, one of the suspects, Rocky Marshall, had fraudulently claimed ownership of the sixty five acre intestate.

Suspect Marshall has been arrested and detained, pending court trial, for his alleged commission of Forgery and Criminal Conveyance of Land.

The Coordinator of the Land Dispute Resolution Section, Paul Tolbert, told reporters that Rocky Marshall is on record for his involvement in two similar land cases at the LLA.

Mr. Tolbert said a survey notice was once put up by Rocky Marshall for the same parcel of land, falsely claiming that he acted upon the directive of Judge Sehleaplor Duncan.

Addressing a press conference Wednesday at the LLA in Monrovia, Coordinator Tolbert claimed that the suspects also faked the LLA letter head and forged the Authority Licensed Surveyor’s signature.

Meanwhile, investigators also told reporters that the LLA is seeking the indictment and subsequent arrest of other suspects, including Jimmy Nanks, Esther Tamba and Jerry Richards of the City of Monrovia for the commission of Criminal Conveyance of Land.
