Women Entrepreneurs launch network with IFC's support

(mylbsonline/Liberia)-The Liberia Women Entrepreneurs Network (LIWEN) has been launched in the country, with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) pledging its support.

IFC is a private arm of the World Bank Group that supports the business sectors of developing countries around the world.

IFC Vice President, Rashad Kaldany, Spoke at the launch Tuesday 5th March, 2013 in Monrovia,
Mr. Kaldany said: “Women entrepreneurs on the African continent have an important role in economic stabilization of most post-conflict countries.”

“For women entrepreneurs to reach their full economic potentials, they must have access to business opportunities and skills,” Mr. Kaldany said.

The Liberia Women Entrepreneurs Network was established in 2012 by a group of 25 Liberian female business owners to create better environment for women in Liberia to maximize their potentials and to achieve profitable and sustainable growth.
