Liberia, Israel restate commitments to bilateral ties

Liberia and the State of Israel have reaffirmed their commitments to strengthening the bilateral ties subsisting between the two Countries.

The commitment was reached Thursday, February 28, 2019, during a meeting with President George Weah and Israeli President Reuben Rivlin.

President Weah told his Israeli counterpart that Liberia, under his Administration, is ready for investment in the areas of agriculture, health, mining, energy and technology among others.

President Weah said:” Liberia is capable of assisting with peace and stability between Israel and Palestine in the West Bank.”

For his part, Israeli President, Reuben Rivlin, assured of his Country’s willingness to invest in the health, agriculture and mining sectors of Liberia.

President Rivlin said: “Israel will forever remain grateful to Liberia because it was one of the countries that affixed its signature for the independence of Israel.”

Meanwhile, Presidential Press Secretary, Solo Kelgbeh, has told ELBC that a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is schedule later today.
