MONROVIA,LIBERIA-Credible reports reaching this station indicate that the Liberian National Police (LNP)  have arrested three former and current executives of the Central Bank of Liberia.

According to the report, former Central Bank Governor Milton Weeks was arrested today,while Deputy Executive Governor Charles Sirleaf and the Director of Banking,Dorbor Hagba,were picked up last evening.

The LNP has begun an operation to apprehend those deened culpable in the illegal printing and the circulation of the alleged nissing 16 (B) Billion Liberian bank notes..

Upon the release of the Special Presidential Investigative Team’s report Thursday, February 28, 2019, the team recommended, amongst other things, that criminal charges be brought against former and present CBL senior and middle-level officials who were responsible for the unlawful printing of over 18-billion Liberian dollars.
