US$ 20 million Kuwaiti Fund for Konia-Voinjama Road

MONROVIA, LIBERIA - Residents of Konia in Zorzor District, Lofa County are expected to benefit from a US$ 20 million agreement to upgrade and to rehabilitate the Konia – Voinjama Road between the Liberian Government and the Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Development.

The Kuwaiti Fund Deputy Director General for Administration and Finance, Nedhal Alolayan, said: “I am confident that the project will be implemented in a timely manner and will increase high degree of efficiency in the Liberia’s economy”.

The signing ceremony took place Thursday, March 14, 2019, at the Ministry of Finance Development Planning in Monrovia.

For his part, Acting Finance Minister, Augustine Flomo, said: “The completion of the Gbranga-Voinjama Road Project will make North - Western Liberia accessible and also accelerate agriculture activities in the region”.

While, Public Works Minister, Mobutu Nyenpan, said the project will improve road connectivity and accessibility to places of work and to enhance provision of social services for Liberians.
