MONROVIA, LIBERIA - An Israeli delegation from the Tel A viv Medical Center is in Liberia as part of a recent agreement signed during President George Weah’s visit to that country.

The head of delegation in Liberia, Dr. Rudnick Armonk, said the visit is  aimed at assessing the requirement needed by Liberia’s Health Sector in reducing maternal mortality in the country.

Dr. Armonk said: “The delegation brought equipment to help in the training of local staff in surgical and delivery proceedings." The Israeli Doctor said their visit to the John F. Kennedy Hospital shows that the institution, though has qualified staff, lacks essential medical equipment.

She noted that the assessment will provide insight on areas that require the improvement of staff and reduce complications at medical facilities in Liberia.
