Ask Sisters Fight Back to Win God’s Anointed

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Kickball Champions Ask Sisters Sunday came from behind a 3-0 home-runs trailing to beat God’s Anointed 6-4 in an exciting kickball fixture at the Du Port Road Baptist field.

God’s Anointed took a 3-0 home-runs lead in the first inning and denied Ask Sisters from making home-run in their first, and second innings.

But the Champions reduced the score to 3-2 in the third inning before scoring another four home-runs in the fourth inning to finish the match 6-4.

Kickball most Valuable Player, Louise Toe, who struggled in the first two innings scored two home-runs in the 3rd and 4th innings when Mariah Zuo, God’s Anointed’s pitcher who was causing lots of problems for the Ask Sisters, sustained injury.

This means the defending Champions remain unbeaten so far this season.

In other results, Super Stars lost to Vision Sisters 4-3 home-runs in Sunday’s most entertaining game.
 
Vision Sisters had to come from the behind to force a win against a fast improving Super Stars.

Lois Keung brilliance in that match entertained the spectators, but her hat-trick of home-runs was not enough to give Super Stars their first win of the season.
In the second division at the Du Port Road Baptist Field, Blue Eagle defeated KK United 4-0 home-runs.

At the Sarah Barclay field on Saturday, Tete Padmore ran two home-runs to inspire Amazon beat a stubborn Sirius Sisters 7-1.

Grace Nimely and Asata Kiahon also scored two home-runs each in helping Amazon win Sirius.

The game which was tough for both sides turned in favor of Amazon when two missed throws allow Tete Padmore and Grace Nimely raced home.

Also on Saturday, Fatu Kanneh inspired Supreme Girls to beat home team Royal Sisters 3-1 home-runs.

Fatu put Supreme Girls in the lead in the first innings with a missed catch by the Royal Sisters First off fielder helping her to home base.

Fatu scored a second home-run in the 4th innings running 300 feet to get to the home base.

Strugglers Mighty Giant Sisters pulled the weekend’s biggest surprise when they whipped Success Sisters 10-5 home-runs at the disbelief of kickball fans.

Tanyenoh Dweh scored hat-trick home-runs to help Mighty Giant Sisters to their first win of the season.
In the second division, Bardnersville Super Stars whitewashed Afolabis 17-1 home-runs in a one sided clash.

The LKF Championship will continue this weekend with more entertaining fixtures.
