UAE,Liberia agree on bilateral ties - set up technical working group

MONROVIA, LIBERIA - The Leaders of Liberia and the United Arab Emirates  have agree to strengthen bilateral ties and have set up a technical working group to travel to Liberia for assessment to finalize arrangements for immediate direct investment.

The technical working group of the UAE comprises civil engineers, agriculture experts and other technocrats.

According to an Executive Mansion release issued March 20, 2019 in Monrovia says the constitution of the technical working group followed a meeting between President George Weah and delegation and the Crown Prince and other UAE officials.

The Liberian leaders, said: “The plan is aimed at lifting Liberians out of poverty and improves their livelihood, including road connectivity, agriculture, and for revamping of the Liberia Corporation, renewable energy, health and education as top priorities of the first term of my administration”.

At the same time the Crown Prince, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has promised to work along with President Weah to achieve his development plan.

Crown Prince, Al Nahyan said: “Liberia is important to the UAE, and we assure a better relation with the country. The visit of President Weah will strengthen ties and open new avenues for bilateral corporation in the interest of both countries”.

President Weah is being accompanied on the trip by Bomi County Representative, Edwin Melvin Snowe, Foreign Minister Gbehzohngar Findley, Information Minister Eugene Nagbe, the Defense Minister, Daniel Ziankahn and Trokon Kpui.
