Liberia Revenue Authority (LRA) institutes new mandate for vehicle importation

MONROVIA, LIBERIA - The Liberia Revenue Authority (LRA) has put in place  a new mandate of the importation of vehicle through Liberia’s land borders.

The approved routes for the importation of vehicle from the Cote D’ Ivoire  are Toe Town and the Logatouwou border crossing points. At the same time Bo Water Side is the approved route for the importation of vehicles from Sierra Leone, while those from Guinea is the Ganta Port of entry.

According to the Director of Communication at LRA, Kaiyenneh Sangbeh,  the approved  routes  are only designated border points for the importation of vehicles on land.

Mr. Sangbeh is warning vehicle importers to adhere to the new regulation by the authority adding tha the regulation takes effect on April 1, this year.

Meanwhile,  vehicle conveying passengers and goods may used  any official port of entry other than the ones listed but said these goods must be declared to authorities at its said entry points for verification.
