Liberia to get modern cargo terminal at the RIA

LOWER MARGIBI COUNTY, LIBERIA-The Global Logistics Services (GLS) and the National Aviation Services (NAS) have broken ground for Liberia’s first modern cargo terminal at the Roberts International Airport (RIA).

The ground breaking ceremony took place Thursday, April 4, 2019, at the Roberts International Airport in Lower Margibi County.

When completed by 2020, the Roberts Air Cargo Center is expected to improve the RIA’s air cargo operations to meet international standards.

The two-thousand-seven-hundred square meter terminal will support export supply capacity.

The investing company’s Chairman, Peter Malcolm King, said:” The facility will enhance air cargo supply chain operatiuons, improve trade barriers and boost Liberia’s potential as a hub in the Mano River Basin.”
