President Weah back home from Dakar, Senegal

MONROVIA, LIBERI - President George Weah and delegation have returned home after a week-long official visit to Dakar, Senegal marking the independence and inauguration ceremony of his Senegalese counterpart Mackey Sall.

President Weah and his delegation arrived in the morning hour of Friday, April 5, 2019 at the Roberts International Airport (RIA) where he touched down and was met on arrival by officials of government including the Minister of State for Presidential Affairs, Nathaniel McGill, who acted as President while President Weah was away from the country.

As part of his official visit following the ceremony, the Liberian leader also held sideline discussions with some heads of state of ECOWAS attending the ceremony, including Guinean President Alpha Conde, Nigerian President, Muhamudu Buhari and the President of the Gambia, Adama Barrow among others.

President Weah, held separate discussions with Guinea President Conde for the shipment of iron between the two countries through the initiative of the Inter-Ministerial Committee.

He also on  April 1, 2019  hosted  the President of Ethiopia, Sahle-Work Zewde whe the two leaders    stressed the need for improved diplomatic relations.
