UAE Delegation arrives in Liberia

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-A twenty member delegation from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has arrived in the Country.

The delegation arrived over the weekend and their visit is in fulfillment of discussions held between President George Weah and UAE Crown Prince, Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nayan during the Liberian Leader’s visit to the Gulf State in March this year.

During President Weah’s visit, the Country’s Leader set up a technical working group to conduct assessrnent and conclude final arrangements for immediate direct investment in Liberia.

The delegation is reported to consist of civil engineers, agriculture experts and other technocrats.

An initial closed-door technical meeting has been held between members of the UAE Delegation and their Liberian host.

Following the meeting, Minister of State, Nathaniel McGill, told journalists that the meeting was productive and highlighted key sectors.

Minister McGill said:” Members of the delegation will be engaged in site seeing and investigating what Liberia needs and how they can help.”
