MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Associate Justice-Designate, Yusuf Kaba, has vowed to push for radical judicial reforms if confirmed.

Associate Justice, Kaba said: “Such reforms are imperative and crucial to the revitalization of the modeled 1847 Judicial System of the country and that the maturity of the Liberian population, occasioned by pursuit of legal recourse, has triggered pressure on the justice system over the years”.

Judge Kaba observed that radical judicial reforms could serve as remedy to address the daunting challenges of the Judiciary.

He made the pledge Monday, April 8, 2019 during his confirmation hearing when he appeared before the Statutory Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights, Claims and Petitions at the Liberian Senate on Capitol Hill, Monrovia.

His Honor, Judge Yussif Kaba, was nominated on Monday, April 1, 2019 by President George Weah, as Associate Justice to the Supreme Court of Liberia, to replace the former Associate Justice, Kabineh Ja’neh, after he was impeached by the Senate.
