MONROVIA, LIBERIA - A civil society organization Camp for Peace, Liberia has urged the United Nations to double up support for Liberia and not being complacent about progress made so far for the country’s transformation.

Camp for Peace Executive Director, Abel Learwellie said: “I appealed to the United Nations for continue support to Liberia, if the country must succeed in meeting its agenda for transformation”.

Mr. Learwellie made the statement when he met with the UN Officials in New York, United States of America on April 5-11, 2019 to brainstorm on Liberia’s status especially following the drawdown of UNMIL.

Speaking to ELBC Thursday, April 18, 2019 the Grass Root Civil Organization Executive Director said: “While providing some perspective of the situation in Liberia, though I am optimistic about a level of intervention by the world body in the country’s transformational challenges, it involves the collective effort of all Liberians to make the country better”.

Camp for Peace was invented by the South Korean Government on February 8-13, to participate in the drafting of peace resolution within the Korean Peninsula for presentation to showcase Liberia’s case study.
