MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The West African Examination Council says it has put in place several measures for the smooth conduct of this year’s West African Senior Secondary Certificate Exams (WASSCE).

The head of WAEC-Liberia, Dale Gboto, said the institution has adopted a holistic strategy to prevent exam leakage put in place by the five countries administering WASSCE in the sub region.

Gboto disclosed that two-hundred-thirty-seven centers have been established by WAEC this year for the conduct of the exams.

He said:” Thirty-nine-thousand-eight-hundred-forty-eight senior students from six-hundred-fifty-one senior high schools will be sitting the exams Wednesday, April 24, 2019.”

The WAEC-Liberia Boss named the late arrival and presumed leakage of the exams as some of the challenges associated with the administration of the test.
