President’s absence at Rep. Lawrence's funeral not intentional - Press Secretary

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President George Weah has described as unintentional, his absence from the funeral and subsequent burial of former Montserrado County Representative, Adolph Lawrence.

According to Presidential Press Secretary, Solo Kelgbeh, President Weah, however, regretted his absence from the funeral but said his absence was not deliberate.

Mr. Kelgbeh who made clarification Tuesday, April 30, 2019 also pointed out that the President’s move was toensure the peaceful burial of his fallen colleague amidst intense disturbances associated with his home going.

The Press Secretary said the President acknowledged protocol associated with the home going of Representative Lawrence.
