Prez. Sirleaf in the Hague, Jakarta and Bali

(mylbsonline/Liberia)-President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, at the start of a 9-day official visit abroad, is currently in the Netherlands.

The Liberian leader, at the head of a 9-member Liberian Government delegation, departed the country Tuesday March 19, 2013 for The Hague.

According to an Executive Mansion release, while in The Hague, President Johnson-Sirleaf will Thursday March 21, 2013 deliver the keynote address at a Mulu Stakeholder Dialogue on water in the post-2015 Agenda.

The release said: “The President’s keynote address will also center on the results of discussion of the Global Thematic Consultation on Water.”

Also, the Liberian President will on the following day, Friday March 22, participate in the World Water Day celebration, and will later serve as a panelist at a High-Level Forum on Water Cooperation.

gh-Level Forum Outcome Statement to be taken to the High-Level Panel on the Post-2015 Agenda at the end of the program.

Following her official visit to the Netherlands, the Liberian Leader will begin a State and Working Visit to Jakarta and Bali, the Republic of Indonesia from Sunday 24th to Thursday 28th March.

While in Jakarta, she and delegation will hold bilateral discussions with the Indonesian President, H.E. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.

At the end of their meeting, the two Presidents will sign a Memorandum of Understanding, followed by a joint press conference.

During the State Visit, President Johnson-Sirleaf will attend a State Luncheon in her honor, visit the Indonesian National Museum and a Small and Medium Enterprise, and a cooperative promotion center.

She will also attend the Forth Meeting of the High-Level Panel of Eminent Persons on the Post-2015 Development Agenda.

The meeting, to be hosted by Indonesian President Yudhoyono Tuesday and Wednesday March 26 – 27, will take place at Bali’s Nusa Dua Convention Center.

President Johnson-Sirleaf and delegation are expected to depart Indonesia for Liberia ThursdayMarch 28, 2013.

“Members of the Liberian Government delegation traveling along with the President include Foreign Affairs Minister, Augustine Ngafuan, Agriculture Minister, Dr. Florence Chenoweth, and, Commerce and Industry Minister, Miatta Beysolow, accompanied the Liberian leader to Indonesia.”

“The Legal Affairs Advisor to the President, Cllr. Seward Cooper, among other senior government officials also accompanied the Liberian leader on the visits,” the release added.
