ECOWAS Speaker checks regional Parliamentarian growth, challenges

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-ECOWAS Parliament Speaker Mustapha Cisse Lo has recounted progress made by the Regional Parliamentarian Group amidst challenges.

Speaker Lo said: “There are significant strides made by ECOWAS in the integration process of the sub-region but lots need to be done in that direction.”

He spoke of the holding of a successful Presidential Elections in Nigeria and Senegal respectively, including parliamentarian Elections in Togo and elsewhere in the region.

Speaker Lo made the comment Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at the ongoing ECOWAS Parliament First Ordinary Session for the year 2019 in Abuja, Nigeria.

According to LINA, Liberia is represented at that session by Bomi County Representative, Edwin Snowe, Nimba County Senator, Prince Johnson, and Lofa County Senator, Stephen Zargo.

Others are Representatives Clarence Massaquoi and Hajah Siryon of Lofa County and Bomi County respectively.
