Prez. Sirleaf and delegation return home from the Netherlands, Indonesia

(mylbsonline/Liberia)-President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf and delegation returned home Friday March 29, 2013 after a nearly two-week visit to the Kingdom of the Netherlands and Indonesia.

While in The Hague, the Netherlands, President Johnson-Sirleaf and Public Works Minister, Samuel Kofi-Woods, were honored for their support to and advocacy for water management.

Four individuals from other countries were also honored for the same purpose.

Following the honoring ceremony in The Hague, the Liberian Leader and delegation travelled to Indonesia, where she attended the Post 2015 United Nations High Level Panel.

As part of activities marking her visit to Indonesia, the governments of Liberia and Indonesia signed two memorandums of understanding.

The two memorandums of understanding were aimed at boosting Liberia’s Wood-Work Sector and Commerce.

President Johnson-Sirleaf signed on behalf of the Liberian Government while the Indonesian President, Susilo Bangbamgyudoyono, signed on behalf of his government.

The Liberian delegation to the Netherlands and Indonesia included individuals from the government and private sectors.
