MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Executive Mansion says it will no longer tolerate unrestricted travels by members of the Executive Branch of Government with immediate effect.

The pronouncement followed the issuance of presidential directive, placing travel restriction on presidential appointees beginning June 1, 2019.

A Ministry of State release issued May 31,2019, said the Presidential travel restriction affects all Ministries, Director Generals, Managing Directors and Commissioner Generals, Deputies and Assistants, Superintendents and City Mayors.

According to the directive, every official wishing to travel, must first obtain Travel Authorization Letter from the Office of the President before leaving the Country.

Meanwhile, the Executive Mansion has instructed the Liberia Immigration Service (LIS) to ensure receipt of a Travel Authorization Letter from the Office of the President from a traveling official before leaving the Country.
