Pres. Weah holds talks with Guinean Counterpart in Guinea

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President George Manneh Weah and entourage are in Guinea, Conakry, for a two-day State visit.

The Liberian Leader, as part of his visit, will hold talks with his Guinean Counterpart, Alpha Conde.

President Weah’s visit came after Guinean Envoy recently paid him a courtesy visit in Monrovia.

According to Presidential Press Secretary Isaac Solo Kelgbeh, the two leaders will discuss issues relative to improving transportation and commerce in the region.

He said:” Under transportation, rail road and air transport services will be high on the agenda, and both leaders will also discuss the promotion of strong business ties, where smooth and free movement of goods and services, including people will be further strengthened.”

While away, the Minister of State for Presidential Affairs, Nathaniel McGill, will serve as Acting President, in close consultation with the Vice President of Liberia, Jewel Howard-Taylor.

President George Manneh Weah is expected to arrive in the Country on Saturday, July 13, 2019.
