Chinese Gov. to undertake new projects in Liberia

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Government of China has disclosed plan to undertake several new infrastructural projects in Liberia.

According to the counselor at the Chinese Embassy, the new project will improve the Liberian economy and boost infrastructure development in Liberia.

Li Jiang said:” The Chinese Government will also place key emphasis on developing the Fishery Sector through capacity building programs for Liberians”.

Mr. Li recalled that between 2006 to present, more than twenty employees of the Fishery and Aquaculture Sector of Liberia have benefited from short to medium term training program in China.

He spoke Monday, July 15, 2019, at a farewell dinner for twenty-five personnel from the National Fishery and Aquaculture Authority at the Chinese embassy near Monrovia.

The NaFAA’s staff’s members are leaving for China Tuesday, July 16, 2019, to form part of a training course in Marine Culture Technology.

In remarks, the Spokesman of the beneficiaries, Yenego Zubah, commended the Chinese Government for the opportunity afforded them to help transform the Liberian Fisheries Sector.
