Prez. Weah submits bills to Legislature for consideration

MONROVIA, LIBERIA - The Liberian Chief Executive has submitted several bills to the Legislature including the National Standard Authority Act, Civil Servant Commission Act, and the World Trade Organization (WTO)Facilitation Agreement for enactment.

President George Weah said: “The establishment of the Civil Servant Commission is in adherence to Article 89 of the Liberian Constitution and will regulate the employment and working condition of public servants and enhance productivity and growth”.

The Liberian leader also disclosed that the World Trade Organization Facilitation Agreement, if ratified, will greatly reduce greatly reduce bureaucratic delays in trade to enhance government’s Pro-Poor Agenda.

The communication read Tuesday, August 6, 2019, is being sent to relevant committees for further action before becoming bills.
