Liberia Bar Asso.wants govt.investigate alleged flogging…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberia Bar Association is calling on the Government of Liberia to institute investigation into the matter involving the alleged flogging of Liberia National Police Deputy Director for Operations, Marvin Sackor.

The LNBA Secretary General, Cllr. Bobby Livingstone is also urging the Government to make findings of the investigations public to demonstrate transparency and fair play.

Cllr. Livingstone made the call Thursday, August 8, 2019, in Monrovia during an interview with Judicial Reporters.

Meanwhile, the LNBA is encouraging Government to take measures to curb the current wave of violence across the Country.

Cllr. Bobby Livingstone expressed is concern about the wave of lawlessness unfolding in the Country, noting that such should not be encouraged in the Liberian society.

He emphasized that the alleged violence against a senior officer of the Liberia National Police shows the level of degeneration of the state of the security of the Country.
