Blue Lake Mineral Water relocates, gets US$1.8M benefit

(mylbsonline/Liberia)-The Liberian Government is to provide US$1.8m to the Liberia Beverage and Bottling Company for its relocation.

The Liberia Beverage and Bottling Company is the producer of the Blue Lake Mineral Water on the local market.

The amount will be given the company to allow the Western Cluster to begin operating the former Liberia Mining Company (LMC) site in Bomi County.

Blue Lake Mineral Water Managing Director, Haja Washington, told ELBC Saturday April 13, 2013 that the company has currently received US$500 thousand from the Government.

Madam Washington said: “The Company will be relocated in the St. Paul Bridge Community in Montserrado County.

“As part of its relocation process, the over 73 employees of the company were given their just benefits, in line with Liberia’s labor laws,” she said.

Meanwhile, Blue Lake Mineral Water Chief Executive Officer, Zein Jaffiah, said: “The Company spent over US$4m to establish the company in Bomi County.
