26 Liberian deportees arrive home

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Twenty-Six Liberian deportees arrived in the Country Wednesday, August 14, 2019, via the Roberts International Airport on a chattered flight from the United States.

The disclosure was made to ELBC by Abraham Dolley, Director of Communications at the Liberia Immigration Service (LIS).

Mr. Dolley said the twenty-six Liberians are being deported for committing multiple State crimes, ranging from murder, domestic rape and the sale of narcotic substances among others.

He said the Immigration Service was informed of the deportation by the United States Government through the Liberian Embassy in Washington DC.

Abraham Dolley said those who committed heinous crimes will undergo three months counseling at the Headquarters of the LIS.

Following the end of the Counseling, Dolley said the LIS will keep surveillance on their movements as they integrate into the Liberian Society.
