MONROVIA, LIBERIA - Vice President Jewel Howard Taylor, is calling on the Chairman of the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) to unite the party.

V.P. Taylor said: “The defeat of the party in the just ended Montserrado County Senatorial By-Election should send a signal to the officials of CDC of the need to come together”.

Madam Taylor then called on the CDC Chairman, Mulbah Morlu, to convene more collaborative meetings for the forward match of Liberia.

The Vice President speaking to ELBC Monday, August 26, 2019 in an interview wants government to strengthen security for all Liberians and cautioned both opposition and the ruling CDC to avoid violence and focus on dialogue rather than confrontation while she asked all Liberians to desist from violence in general.

V.P. Taylor further advised the National Elections Commission (NEC) not to allow opposing candidates in the pending Montserrado County District #15 re-run Representative By-Election, to campaign on the same day to avoid confrontation.
