Pres. Weah to hold talks with Shonan Kamakura General Hospital Authorities in Japan

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President George Weah is expected to hold talks with Authorities of the Shonan Kamakura General Hospital in Japan to open a Dialysis Treatment Center in Liberia.

Dialysis is a machine that filters, purifies and helps to control blood pressure during kidney failure.

Speaking to ELBC Monday, August 26, 2019, Presidential Press Secretary Solo Kelgbeh said:” The meeting will be attended by Health Minister Dr. Wilhelmina Jallah and Japanese Health Authorities.”

According to Mr. Kelgbeh, President Weah is seeking to explore more support for the health sector through a partnership agreement with the Government of Japan.

He said another meeting has been scheduled between President Weah and delegation with the Dia-nay-bon Construction Company for possible investment in Liberia.

Mr. Kelgbeh said that the meeting will be chaired by Utah Ayoubah, Japan Special Envoy for African Affairs.

President Weah is in Japan to attend the 7th Edition of the Tokyo International Conference African Development.
