ECOWAS US$100 Million loan secures to build Southern Easter Road

MONROVIA, LIBERIA – The ECOWAS Bank for Development has provided US$100Million loan to Liberia for the construction of roads in the South Eastern Region of the country.

Rep. Edwin Melvin Snowe, who is the Chairman of the House of Representatives Foreign Affairs Committee, said: “The loan will be paid with an interest rate of 2% over a long period”.

The negotiation for this loan was earlier initiated by President George Weah.

Rep. Snowe making the disclosure to ELBC, Wednesday, August 28, 2019 also said that members of the House of Representatives will shortly review the agreement for ratification.
