Japan to strengthen relations, infrastructural dev. of Liberia

MONROVIA, LIBERIA – The Government of Japan has committed itself to helping Liberia with its infrastructural development and improving international relations.

The commitment was made by the Japanse Prime Minister, Shinzo Abe, during Friday, August 27 meeting with his Liberian counterpart, President George Weah, in Yokohama.

Prime Minister Abe has accepted an invitation extended him by the Liberian Leader for a sate visitation to Liberia, but the time of the visit was not provided. President Weah has described Japan as a true development partner to Liberia and Africa as a whole.

The Liberian Leader also named the reconstruction and expansion of the Somalia Drive and the provision of a grant for the installation of electricity in Monrovia as some of the meaningful contributions from the Government of Japan to Liberia
