MONROVIA, LIBERIA –ECObank Communications and Marketing Manager, Ivy Fahnbulleh, says women empowerment is critical to the over – all human resource development of Liberia.

Mrs. Fahnbulleh said: “Vocational institutions should prioritize women-driven programs, if they must achieve self-reliance in society, emphasizing that such empowerment could redirect women focus from the dependency syndrome to entrepreneurship.

The Ecobank Manager spoke Friday, August 30, 2019 at the official launch of the Women and Girls Empowerment Program at the Versatile Vocational Training Center in Paynesville.

Earlier, the Founder of the Versatile Vocational Training Center, Lewis Togba, said: “The Center’s vision is to educate women to become partners in progress to their male counterparts”.

Mr. Tobga said the program is intended to enhance the awareness on the basic rights and responsibilities of women to society.
