Liberian Gov. appeals to Japan for roads rehabilitation

LOWER MARGIBI COUNTY, LIBERIA-The Government has made a plea to the Japanese Government to rehabilitate the Somalia Drive Road linking the Gabriel Tucker Bridge on the Bushrod Island.

The road, according to Government, is part of several projects earmarked for development through the help of the Government of Japan.

Speaking to a team of Executive Mansion reporters upon arrival from Japan Tuesday, September 3, 2019, President Weah said:” Technology and energy were other areas of interest highlighted during my meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.”

The Liberian Leader described the Tokyo International Conference on Africa Development as successful, stressing that Liberia stands to benefit through its bilateral ties with the Government of Japan.

Meanwhile, President Weah has designated Foreign Minister Gbehzongar Finley, to follow up on commitments reached between Liberia and Japan at the TICAD Conference.
