Pres. Weah wants practical solutions to existing economic problems

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President George Weah says findings and practical solutions derived at the ongoing National Economic Dialogue will be considered by the Liberian Government.

President Weah said:” There will be a holistic approach to implement recommendations from the Dialogue.”

The Liberian Leader urged panelists of the dialogue to find solutions aimed at ensuring economic growth and resource mobilization.

Speaking at the opening of the Conference, President Weah said the forum is intended to analyze, identify and find workable solutions to the existing economic challenges.

He encouraged Liberians to support the Liberia Government’s effort to revive the Economy for the common good of the Country.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the National Economic Dialogue Secretariat, Dr. Toga Gayweay-Mackintosh, said the current economic challenges require urgent solutions.

Dr. Mackintosh said panelists and other discussants are finding appropriate strategies to collectively stop the looming economic recession for swift revival.

The National Economic Dialogue is being held under the theme: National Economic Revival and Growth- Critical Issues, Challenges, and Way Forward.

It is attended by renowned local and international economists, including the President of the United Bank of Africa (UBA) Tony Elumelu.
