Minnesota holds humanr rights confab on Liberia

(mylbsonline/Liberia)-The United States Justice Department and several international rights groups are expected to participate in a human rights conference on Liberia.

A release, quoting the Coalition for Justice in Liberia, said: “The Minnesota Conference is expected to highlight the ‘neglected’ issue of justice for victims of the Liberian civil war.”

“The human rights conference will feature former TRC Chairman, Counselor Jerome Verdier, and other international speakers, the release said.

Other organizations to participate in the conference are the Center for Justice and Accountability, Advocates for Human Rights, Center for Victims of Torture, and the University of Minnesota Human Rights Center.
