China gives to Liberia

(mylbsonline/Liberia)-The government of the People’s Republic of China has presented computers and other assorted materials to the Liberian Government.

The items, valued at US$30,000.00, include seven laptop computers, four desk-top computers, one digital duplicator, and one laser jet printer, among others.
 
They are intended for use by the Ministry of Information, Culture Affairs and Tourism (MICAT).

The presentation was made at the Chinese Embassy near Monrovia.

In his presentation statement, Chinese Ambassador, Zhoua Jinhuoa, said: “The gesture is intended to enhance the Information Ministry’s work.”

The electronic devices were received by Information Minister, Lewis Brown, on behalf of the Liberian Government.

Minister Brown thanked the Chinese Government and people for the materials and for other capacity building gestures it is rendering Liberians in China.

He said: “The materials will go a long way in building the capacity of the Ministry’s staff.”
