Ellen signs Moses Blahs book of condolence

(mylbsonline/Liberia)-President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf has signed the book of condolence for former Liberian President, Moses Blah.

Former President Blah died in early April after a brief illness.

President Johnson-Sirleaf led an array of government officials Monday April 22, 2013 to sign the Book of Condolence at the Foreign Ministry in Monrovia.

Other government officials, who signed the book of condolence, included Vice President, Joseph Boakai, Pro Tempore of the Liberian Senate, Gbezohngar Findley, Foreign Minister, Augustine Ngafuan, and River Gee County Senator, Fredrick Cheru, among others.

Other members of the Blah family were also in attendance when President Johnson-Sirleaf signed the book of condolence.

Prior to his death, President Blah served as vice President to then President, Charles Taylor. He led Liberia as President for two months, following the forceful departure of Mr. Taylor to Nigeria in 2003.

The remains of the former President is expected to be buried in Toweh, his home town in Nimba County.
