MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Ministry of Justice has issued writ of arrest for former National Public Health Institute Director General Dr.Tobor Nyenswah as he is currently undergoing criminal investigation.

The Ministry of Justice wants Dr. Nyenswah arrested for alleged theft of property, economic sabotage, misuse of public money, money laundering and criminal conspiracy charges.

He is to be arrested and arranged before Criminal Court ‘C’ to answer to the charges.
Dr.Tobor has reportedly tendered in his resignation barely days to his arrest pronouncement.

In a related development, Montserrado County Attorney, Edward Martin is requesting the court to set aside the invalid, insufficient and property valuation bond proffered by lawyers requesting former Defense Minister Brownie Samuka.

The petitioners also prayed the court to re-arrest and jail Mr. Samuka and two others since their bonds are not sufficient.

In a six-count petition among other things, Defense Lawyers alleged that the defendants, Brownie Samuka, Joseph Johnson and Nyumah Dorbor filed property valuation bond already approved by Judge Blamo Dixon.

Prosecutors said the so-called bond was never assessed by the Real Estate Tax Division of the Liberia Revenue Authority (LRA), noting that the value placed on the properties is self-declared.
