Nat’l Traditional Council conducts inventory…

LOFA COUNTY, LIBERIA-The National Traditional Council of Chiefs and Elders, in collaboration with the Ministry Internal Affairs and the West Africa Network for Peace Building, is conducting inventory of traditional schools, leaders and Zoes in Lofa County.

According to ELBC’s Upper Lofa County Correspondent, the General Coordinator of the Council, Setta Fofana Saah, said:” The exercise is intended to identify the number of traditional schools, leaders and their scope of operations amongst others.”

Our Correspondent said Madam Fofana Saah noted that prior to the nationwide exercise; suspension of all Poro and Sande activities has been put into place to ensure accountability and sanity in the sector.

He said, according to her, the Team has completed the exercise in Foya, Vahun, Wanhassa, Lukambeh and Kolahun and others.

Meanwhile, the Traditional Council General Coordinator disclosed that a simultaneous exercise is taking place in Nimba and Grand Gedeh Counties.
