Carter Center, LIPA provide access to information curriculum

A curriculum for onward instruction for course on access to   information has been completed by the Carter Center and the Liberia Institute of Public Administration (LIPA).

The Officer of Carter Center, Atty. Saryenneh Dickson said: “The program will ensure that Government’s institutions to take advantage of requisite training by various Public Information Officers”.

For their parts, Deputy Director General for training at LIPA, Amara Kamara, stressed that “the institution will officially begin offering access to information courses as of April next year”.

The LIPA official has therefore, commended the Carter Center for assisting in the drafting and designed of the curriculum.

 A beneficiary of the pilot phase of the program, Anthony Vanwen said: “The program on access to information will help the country to provide available information in a timely manner”.
