(mylbsonlins/Liberia)-President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf is calling on the Supreme Court Bench and the Justice Ministry to hasten the justice system’s transformation.

President Johnson-Sirleaf said: “The Justice System has been lagging in the dispensation of justice to all without fear or favor.”

The Liberian Leader spoke Monday April 30, 2013 at the Foreign Ministry in Monrovia, where she commissioned Chief Justice, Cllr. Francis Korkpor, and Associate Justice, Cllr. Sie-A-Yeaneh Youh, of the Supreme Court.

The President emphasized the constitutional authority of the Supreme Court and called on all Liberians, including the other two branches of government to respect the Court’s authority.

Also speaking at their commissioning ceremony, Chief Justice Korkpor commended President Johnson-Sirleaf for commissioning him and his colleagues, and promised to justify the confidence reposed in them.
