Liberia Honorary Consul to Florida, the USA, is dead
FLORIDA, USA-Liberia Honorary Consul to Florida, the United States, David Straz, is dead.
According to a Foreign Ministry release issued Tuesday, November 19, 2019, Mr. Straz died Monday, November 18, 2019.
The Foreign Ministry, on behalf of President George Weah, the Government and people of Liberia, has extended sympathy to the bereaved family.
The release also quotes government as describing the late David Straz as a dedicated and renowned diplomat who sought Liberia’s interest, particularly in the education sector.
The late Straz played a significant role in helping to improve Liberia’s Education System, and the refurbishing of the Sinje Technical and Vocational College of the University of Liberia, a milestone achievement, being one of his landmark efforts.
