(mylbsonline/Liberia)-The National Elections Commission (NEC) has dismissed another complaint filed against Liberty Party Candidate, Nyonblee Lawrence, in the pending Grand Bassa County Senatorial By-election.

The complaint was filed by Liston Kieh, Liaison Officer to Independent Candidate, Daniel Chea.

Mr. Kieh alleged that Madam Lawrence’s supporters were destroying Mr. Chea’s posters on buildings in the county.
This is the second time that NEC has dismissed complaint before it against Madam Lawrence.

It can be recalled that a resident of Grand Bassa County recently complained to the Commission that the Liberty Party Candidate had registered twice, in violation of Liberia’s election laws.

Following thorough fact finding, the National Elections Commission dismissed the case, due to lack of sufficient evidence to substantiate the claim.

Meanwhile, NEC Chairman, Cllr. Jerome Korkoya, is urging candidates and party supporters to exhibit a high degree of tolerance in their engagements.
